DDP New Hampshire Board Applauds New Hampshire Secretary of State for Rejecting DOJ’s Demand for State’s Voter Registration List

NEW HAMPSHIRE – DDP New Hampshire’s Board, including former U.S. Senator John Sununu and former Ambassador and Congressman Dick Swett, applauds the New Hampshire Secretary of State for rejecting the U.S. Department of Justice’s demand to submit a copy of the state’s voter registration list. Read their full statement on the Secretary of State’s decision below:

“New Hampshire’s elections stand as the benchmark for integrity thanks to a combination of local control and a supportive Secretary of State’s office that ensures each municipality has the information and resources to conduct fair, free, and secure elections. Secretary Scanlan’s decisions, consistent with our state law, to not turn over sensitive cybersecurity information and the statewide voter database is but one example of the Granite State’s core understanding of its duty to have safe and secure elections. We applaud the Secretary’s decisions and his thoughtfully articulated response to the U.S. Department of Justice.”
