Phoenix, AZ— A poll released today from the Democracy Defense Project reveals Arizona voters are becoming more confident in national and local election results since the 2020 election. The poll was conducted May 28th -June 1st by National Research Inc. and surveyed Arizona voters on prominent issues this election cycle including trust in national and local elections.

Overall, Arizona voters are more confident in the 2024 election results compared to 2020. Similarly, Arizona voters have more confidence in the results of the 2024 U.S. Senate results compared to the 2022 Gubernatorial race.

When asked about the current threats to Democracy, a super majority of Republicans, Democrats and Independents all agree that social media apps are a serious concern. Additionally, all three voting groups agree that foreign adversaries posed the greatest risk to election integrity.

Arizona has a longstanding mail-in voting program, which most voters in the state utilize. Recently, there has been much debate about speeding up of the tabulation of mail-in ballots. Voters agree across the board that accuracy is of most importance over solely speed.

“Building confidence in our election process is vital to protecting our democracy,” said Representative Daniel Hernandez. “Misinformation from various elected leaders since 2020 has created unnecessary confusion and distrust among voters. I am pleased to see that the efforts from many local leaders across the state to share accurate information is increasing voter confidence leading into the 2026 election.”

“I applaud our local leaders across the state who have worked tirelessly each election cycle to oversee free and fair elections,” said Congressman Matt Salmon. “Although voter confidence is increasing in Arizona’s elections, there are still emerging threats such as foreign adversaries and misinformation on social media that voters on both sides of the aisle have identified as threats to election integrity. We are at a pivotal time in our Country and it’s important that we work together on constructive policy issues rather that create more divisiveness.”
